I have often wondered if there ever occurred an incident whereby a bird circling above a rubbish tip looking for food spotted one of the Beatles’ albums and thought to itself, ‘Whoopdedoo! There’s a nice juicy green apple. Fantastic! I’m heading down there’. On arrival at the site of the apple the bird would be devastatingly disappointed to find its nice juicy green apple was only a picture of an apple stuck onto a piece of tasteless black plastic.

I imagine the birds hopping around as they feast on the apple, leaving scratches in the vinyl and sort of squaring up to the many references the Beatles made to birds in songs during their recording career. ‘Touché’, they’d tweet.
