Electro-Edu-Collab-Proj, 2003
A collaborative musical performance piece made for the Edith-Russ-Haus in Oldenburg. Working with the idea that I am of pre-computer-at-school generation I worked with two local teenagers for a month in preparation of this work, in three times a week workshops they taught me how to use music making computer software programmes while I talked to them of the ideas behind 20th century experimental music and informed them of my practise with music. For the opening of the exhibition we performed for 50 minutes improvising with looped samples, live keyboard, drum machine and live guitar; micing everything up and processing the sound through a mixer with various effects.
